Although Sölden is a well-known winter sports venue, it also has a lot to offer in the summer.
Sölden is the ideal starting point for mountain hikes and summit tours. On hikes of several days, it is possible to walk to high altitude huts and mountain pastures, explore the mountain landscape and climb to the summit of countless three thousand metre peaks around Sölden. The strain and effort of the climb is soon forgotten when one is rewarded with the breathtaking view of the Stubai and Ötz Valley Alps.
There is ample opportunity for rock climbing in the vicinity of the Moosalm. The different routes offer climbing fun and variety. In addition, one can undertake extended walks through unspoilt nature on the panoramic trails around Sölden. A good example is the one hour walk to the 70 m high Timmeltal waterfall.
